New tunnel at the gates of the capital
More than a year and a half after it was pushed under the railway tracks, the Rangwee II tunnel is soon ready for operation.
The 30m long and 13m wide tunnel will soon be handed over to the National Roads Administration and will be ready for use in the next few months.
As a reminder, the Rangwee II tunnel was built as part of the redevelopment of the Rue des Scillas in Howald, and its objective is to improve traffic flow in this rapidly changing area. The area is undergoing major development, including the construction of a high-performance multimodal hub to promote public transport. A new step will therefore soon be taken towards better mobility at the gates of the capital.
