Inauguration of the Cloche d'Or park and ride
Thursday 5 October saw the inauguration of the P+R Cloche d'Or, a 2,000-space car park at the southern gateway to the capital that we built for the Ponts et Chaussées and the City of Luxembourg.
The series of major mobility projects launching in Luxembourg continues!
On Thursday October 5th, our teams had the pleasure of attending the inauguration of the Cloche d'Or P+R by the City of Luxembourg and the Ministry of Mobility and Public Transport, represented by Lydie Polfer (Mayor) and François Bausch (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mobility and Public Transport).
As the southern gateway to the capital, this project is part of the work on the Cloche d'Or interchange. Located on boulevard Kockelscheuer, it will enable users to move around the city on foot or by bike, or to take the bus or tram directly (the arrival of which has been announced for May 2024).
With its 120m length and 90m width, its mixed metal and concrete structure and its six levels, one of which is underground, the building offers 2,000 free parking spaces for 24 hours. It also has a secure bicycle storage area with capacity for 60 bikes.
Collective effort
Its completion is the result of a collective effort, with Félix Giorgetti responsible for the P+R and Kuhn Construction for the external landscaping.
We would like to thank all the teams and partners who enabled us to accomplish this wonderful mission entrusted to us by the City of Luxembourg and the Ponts et Chaussées.
