Strengthen Transalliance's logistics force

Eight years after the delivery of the first building, Félix Giorgetti is building the extension of Transalliance, a transport and logistics company based in the Eurohub South zone in Dudelange. An additional 20,000 m² will be added to the 15,000 already existing.

The 230m long, 100m wide and 13m high building is organized into two cells of 10,000m² each, offices, charging rooms (dedicated to charging electric vehicles) and workshops. The structure consists of a metal frame and cladding for the most part. The administrative part made of concrete includes spaces for offices, a catering area with a kitchen and an outdoor terrace of 1,500m². In addition, there are 20 docks cast on site.

Regarding the work in progress, the structural work mission is coming to an end. In total, 8,000m³ of concrete was used for the structural work, the foundations and the stringers and the paving. Then will follow the outdoor facilities and the outdoor networks.

Hydrate the soil

A waterproof membrane has been installed over the entire surface of the building to guarantee constant humidity in the ground made up of oil shale. The floor is equipped with a "reverse drain". In other words, a network of drilled pipes fed by the rainwater harvesting system will hydrate the soil and prevent the shale from swelling as it dries and threatening the stability of the building.

Finishing works have also started. The metal frame of the first cell is in place, it is in progress on the second, and a good part of its cladding on the first part is in place.

Next step will be in July 2022 when Transalliance will be handed over the keys to its new warehouse.
