Hosingen bypass takes shape

Concrete work successfully completed in Hosingen
Across the entire site, 430,000 m³ of material has been excavated. Since the beginning of September, operations to backfill the tunnel have begun. To this end, the material from this excavation will be reused.
In Hosingen, work on the bypass is progressing at a good pace. Since mid-October 2025, the two reinforced concrete tunnels have been completed, after 27 perfectly controlled concreting operations.Since September, the construction teams have begun a crucial phase: the total backfilling of the structure. Excavators and trucks are busy dispatching 280,000 m³ of earth and reshaping the original landscape.
Our teams are also preparing to embark on a new phase: the OA879 Biotope. Part of the vast “Hosingen Bypass – National Road 7 Safety” project, this structure will preserve the flora located alongside and beneath the future structure.
Concrete pouring challenge completed successfully
October 17 marked the final concrete pouring operation for the Hosingen tunnel, the centerpiece of the future bypass. A total of 27 concrete pouring phases were required to complete this 350-meter-long structure. At each stage, a 12.5-meter segment was poured, representing approximately 320 cubic meters of concrete. With this stage now complete, our teams are preparing to begin interior work.
Since the project began, our teams have already poured more than 20,000 m3 of concrete and installed 2,500 tons of reinforcing steel.
At the same time, work on the tunnel portals, i.e., the tunnel entrances, is continuing apace.
